House, C16 with C17 and C18 additions and alterations. Flint and brick.
Pintile roof. L-shape plan with projecting stair-turret. Built against
precinct wall. 2 storeys plus attics. Door in west facade. Good timber
door surround in outbuildings to west of house with renaissance detail.
North facade:- 2 bays. Sash windows throughout with glazing bars.
2 Dutch gables. The right-hand bay represents a C18 addition.
East facade :- 3 irregularly spaced first-floor windows. Stair turret and
parallel block at extreme left. 2 large dash windows with glasing bars and
side lights. C20 casement and one mullion and transom window to the
left with sash windows above. Mullion and transom windows and 2 small
Dutch gables to stair-turret. C17 stairs in turret. Fireplace with
moulded jambs and bases in west room. Good C18 library fittings.
