5.6.72 The Marlpit Public House.

House, now public house. Early C19. Red brick with rendered plinth;
hipped concrete tile (?) roof; 2 red brick chimneys. 2 storeys; 4 first-floor
windows. Panelled double-leaf door to right of centre has plain overlight in
panelled reveals flanked by 2 fluted Doric pilasters with triglyph frieze
and small hood with mutules. Windows have sashes with glazing bars under flat
gauged brick arches. Later single-storey canted bay to right side elevation.
