(formerly listed as Glebe

Farmhouse and barns)
- II
House, formerly farmhouse. Early C18. Colourwashed brick facade, flint and
brick to rear. Thatched roof. Brick plinth. East facade of 2 storeys.
Double hollow chamfered arched door right of centre, the mouldings dying into
chamfered jambs. One C18 casement left and right under segmental arches with
glazing bars. 3 smaller C18 casements under eaves. Gabled roof with interal
gable end stacks. Rear adorned with a plethora of blocked openings, the wall
re-opened to accommodate 5 C20 windows and one door regardless of symmetry.
C19 kitchen outshut against north gable. Behind this outshut is a second
arched brick door. Sunk quadrant bridging beams in sitting room. Timber
studwork to first floor partitions. Roof of 2 tiers taper-tenoned butt
purlins, collars and tie beams. Arched doorways are possibly re-used or, more
probably, an archaic survival.
