8/19 The Manor House.
G.V. II
House, mainly early C19 but with C18 core. Built of red brick with black
pantiles. 'L' shaped plan of 2 storeys. Entrance facade to west of 5 windows
with central early C20 semi-circular glazed porch with moulded timber cornice.
Tuck pointing on this facade, with vertical joint between builds immediately
to north of the porch. Sash windows with glazing bars, stone sills, flat gauged
brick arches and louvred shutters. Timber bracketed eaves, with timber
modillion eaves to south. North facade, 4 windows with off centre part glazed
entrance door and timber doorcase with panelled pilasters, moulded architrave,
entablature and cornice. 3-light casement windows with transoms at ground
floor level, and leaded lights. Segmental. brick arches. Eastern wing of 3
windows, with to south, sash windows with glazing bars and segmental gauged
brick arches. Western sash windows have margin lights.
