5.87 The Grange.

House, early C19 with possibly earlier core. Gault and red brick, partly colour-
washed. Black-glazed pantile roofs. Two storeys, T-shaped plan. Main facade
to west of gault brick : three bays, centre bay slightly advanced with later brick
porch and six panelled entrance door. Sash windows with glazing bars with flat
rubbed arhces over openings. Plain brick corner pilasters. Eaves cornice with
brackets arranged in pairs. Parapeted gables with internal red brick chimney
stacks. Hipped red brick wings to east; single storey wings on north and south
sides.
