Parish church. C15. Flint with ashlar and some brick dressings and concrete
tiled roofs. Western tower, aisleless nave with south porch and chancel.
3-storeyed western tower with staged diagonal buttresses, 2-light traceried
bell-openings and a crenellated parapet with flush work and carved finials
at the corners representing the Evangelist symbols. All window tracery
renewed in .C,1850. C15 chancel arch with semi-circular responds and wave-
moulded head. Tall C15 tower arch with plain jambs and moulded 2-ordered
head. Angle piscina in chancel. Former rood stairs to north side of nave.
Very fine C15 chancel screen with painted dado figures of saints, consisting
of 7 bays with crocketted ogee arches and Perpendicular spandrel tracery.
Original arch-braced nave roof. Other furnishings including western gallery,
pulpit, reredos and arch-braced chancel year, c1850. Listed grade I for chancel
screen.
