House. Dated 1711 on south gable. Red brick, steeply pitched pantile roofs;
plain tiles on west slope of main range. Two storeys and attics, l 1/2 storey
east range, L-shaped. Main facade to west, of five bays, symmetrical: cross-
casements with segmental heads to ground floor openings. Central 4-panel
door with simple pedimented doorcase. Platband at first floor level. Shaped
north and south gables with moulded brick eaves corbels. Three gabled attic
dormers with 2-light casements, decorative bargeboards with finials. Large
axial stack off-centre to south, four square chimney shafts with corbelled
cap. North gable has a 2-light casement at each level and the iron letters
IHD. Platbands at first floor and attic levels. South gable has two pairs
of glazed doors, first floor and atticcasement. Catslide lean-to at south-
east corner with stepped parapet and ovolo-moulded casements. Gabled stair
turret opposite stack on east; ovolo-moulded cross-window to staircase with
segmental head. li storey range projects to east: 2 x 3-light casements,
centre section of south wall rendered and colourwashed. Two gabled attic
dormers on south, one on north side. Central axial stack with three square
linked shafts. Shaped east gable with square ground floor bay with pantiled
roof. Interior: bolection-moulded fire surrounds; contemporary stair with
turned balusters on closed string and square newels.
