House, C16 with C19 roof; timber framed, rendered and colourwashed, slates
and pantiles. Open hall with inserted floor, now of 2 cells with additional
bay to east. 1½ storeyed lofted addition to right, timber framed and
rendered, pantiles. Gable copings; chimney bay between bays 1 and 2 with
rebuilt shaft; large end internal stack to right with rendered shaft.
Principal facade to south: 3 bays, 2 storeys; ground floor with 3 2-light
casements, first floor with 3 3-light casements; C19 gabled porch with slate
roof between bays 2 and 3. Rear with various additions in flint with
pantiles. Interior: timberframe exposed first and second cells with
inserted floor, tie beams with ¼ mouldings and lambs tongue chamfer stops;
fireplace to first cell enclosed; fireplace to central cell rebuilt. Large
fireplace to third cell. Upper floor with steeply pitched C16 roof with
collars; C17 raking dormers. The walls were raised in the C19 to form eaves
at level of dormer lintels and a shallow pitched roof placed over the
existing roof.
