4/107 Old Hall Farmhouse

Farmhouse. Late C16 origin, altered early C19 and late C20. Flint with brick
dressings. Roof of black glazed and red pantiles. Double pile plan. Facade
of 2 storeys in 3 bays. Central C20 gabled brick porch entered through
4-centred arch. One sash window left and right and 3 to first floor, all
C20 and under 4-centred painted brick arches. Facade closed by brick quoins.
Brick eaves course. Gabled roof. Partly external north end stack and
internal south stack. South side with 2 storey bowed extension of 1950.
Rear range brickwork C16, now altered. 3-light staircase window under
4-centred arch and with Gothic cusped tracery. Otherwise casements of C18
and C20. Interior. Open well staircase : turned balusters with moulded
handrail and closed strings, square newels. Roof of 2 tiers taper-tenoned
butt purlins and collars jointed into principals.
