4/98 Cartshed and Granary
about 50m SW of Hall
Farmhouse, Mannington

Cartshed with granary above. Circa late C18 or early Cl9 with some
earlier reused timber. Flemish bond red brick. Red clay pantile roof
with coped gable ends.

Small rectangular on plan cart-shed of 3 bays with stairs in narrow 4th
bay to granary above.

Open-fronted 3 1/2 bay east elevation with 3 timber posts, the half bay
on right has stair doorway. Small square windows in end gables. No
openings in rear, west, wall.

Interior: Re-used chamfered beams support granary floor witch has
boarded timber-frame front exposed under eaves at front. The granary
has lapped vertical board partition at centre and tenoned purlin and
lapped collar roof with common rafters and ridge-board.
