TF 92 NE STIBBARD

5/88 The Lodge.

Farmhouse. Early C19, date 1818 cut surreptitiously into one brick. Gault
brick, black glazed pantiles. 2 storeys, 3 bays with service wing at rear.
Ground floor 2 round arch headed window sashes with glazing bars under red
rubbed brick arches. First floor red rubbed brick platband and 3 sashes with
glazing bars under flat rubbed brick arches. Central doorway, 6 panel door
with fanlight with glazing bars, panelled reveals and arch, architrave with
pilasters and open pediment. Red brick modillion cornice, hipped roof, 2 off-
ridge stacks at rear. North and south gables with C20 bow window bays, to
c.1965 by Bernard Fielden architect. Rear wing gault brick and pantiled,
then flint with brick dressings.
