Farmhouse. Datestone over door SP 1774. Uncoursed chalk rubble on sarsen base,
limestone quoins and dressings; old tile roof, brick stacks. Double-depth plan.
Gothic Revival style. 2-storey, 3-window range. C18 fire insurance plaque and
late C20 flat hood over late C20 door. 3-light cavetto-moulded stone-mullioned
windows with arched heads and moulded architraves; similar trefoiled and ogee-
headed 2-light window over door. Brick band to wood dentilled eaves, half-
hipped roof; end stacks. Central bay at rear is brought forward with segmental
brick arch over C20 casement to original stair-light opening. Interior:
2-panelled and plank doors, 6-panelled C16 door to first floor: Panelled dado
to left room: Newel stairs: 4-bay collar truss roof, pine butt purlins.
Original service wing to right has rear gabled projections with stack chalk and
sarsen rubble; dentilled brick eaves; tile roof; chamfered bressumer over
fireplace; original 2-bay roof obscured by C20 ceiling. C20 extension to right.
