Farmhouse. Early C18. Coursed limestone rubble; brick quoins; stone slate roof;
brick stacks. L-plan with rear outshut. 2 storeys; 2-window range. Timber lintel
over C20 door in beaded architrave: late C19 rustic gabled proch. Chamfered
timber lintels over C18 three-light leaded first floor casements and C20
two-light ground floor casements. Gabled roof; gable end stacks. Bread oven
projects from left side wall. Similar 2-window range to rear left has chamfered
timber lintels over C18 three-light and C20 three-light first floor casements;
ground floor remodelled with porch c.1970. Original outshut to rear of front
range adjoins C18 lean-to extension to rear wing; C20 extension to right side
wall. Interior: Stone flag floor, one early Cl8 six-panelled door, early C18 and
C19 plank doors. 2-unit range to front has cased beams and chamfered bressumer
over remodelled open fireplace to left room, mid C19 fireplace to right and
central passage to quarter-turn stairs with landing. 4-bay collar-truss roof
with butt purlins. Rear wing has remodelled open fireplace with bread oven and
4-bay collar-truss roof with butt purlins.
