Town House, now shops and offices. Early C18. Flared Flemish bond brick, red
brick quoins and dressings; old tile roof; brick stacks. L-plan. 2 storeys;
7-window range. Consoles to stone pediment over mid C19 six-panelled door in
beaded architrave. Segmental header arches over blind windows; gauged brick
cambered arches with half-H aprons to cellar, and late C19 ground-floor sashes;
C20 window right of door. Gauged brick flat arches, half-H aprons to late C18
first-floor sashes and one blind window. Gabled roof; ridge and right end
stacks. Hipped roof to rear stair-well. 2-storey, 2-window range to rear left of
random bond brick with half-hipped old tile roof and late C18. sash to rear.
Interior: Panelling of c.1730 to hall, with stone flag floor, moulded cornice
and quarter-turn staircase of vase balusters on open string. First floor has
early C18 two-panelled doors and panelling of c.1730 with moulded cornice to
landing. Panelling, cornice, and fireplace of c.1730 to right; straight-cut
panelling and cornice to centre; fireplace of c.1730 to left. Similar staircase
to attic which has ribbed and 2-panelled doors.
