Early C19 pair of lodges to Faringdon House. Small, square plan one-storey
brick buildings with pyramid slate roofs. Rear wall chimneys with stone
cornices. Moulded stone eaves band. Cambered head openings with glazing bar
sash window to 3 sides, those to drive formerly doors. Low modern rear exten-
sions. In front of lodges 6 plain chamfered rusticated piers with low stone
wall between outer ones, wide central space and narrower pedestrian entries
flanking. Iron railings and gates.
