Farmhouse, now public house and restaurant. Probably early C18, with C20
alterations. Red brick with flared headers in Flemish bond: C20 plain-tile roof.
brick end stack to left, ridge stack to right of centre. 2-storey, 4-bay;
3-window range. C20 six-panel part-qlazed door to C20 gabled porch at left of
centre with C18 six-panel part-glazed inner door. C20 three-light casements to
ground and first floors left, and to right of centre, all with segmental brick
heads and leaded lights. C20 two-light casement to first floor left of centre
with segmental brick head and leaded lights. Brick dog-tooth course to eaves,
and to gable ends. Interior: open fireplaces to ground floor rooms, that to
right having Cl9 bread oven with brick domed chamber. Spine beams and joists
visible to ground floor. C20 addition to rear, possibly incorporating some
earlier structure.
