Public house. Probably late C16 with C17 addition to left, and later
alterations. Render, probably on timber framing; old plain-tile roofs of
differing heights, half-hipped to right end. C19 rebuilt stacks to rear. Single
storey and attic; 2-window range with single-bay addition to left. C20
part-glazed door to recessed porch to centre. 4-pane horned sashes to left and
right. Late C19 shop front to addition to left with glazed door at right and
plate-glass window to left. 2 hipped dormers with lead ridges and 2-light wood
casements. Gabled half-dormer to addition to left wth 2-light casement. Right
return, to Southern Road: painted stone rubble to ground floor; jettied timber
framing with render to attic. Interior not inspected.
