Solar. C13, extended C14. Uncoursed stone rubble with ashlar stone dressings;
old plain-tile roof; stone lateral stack with rebuilt flue to rear. 2-storey,
4-bay range. Plank doors to east end, ground and first floors. Irregular
fenestration of stone mullion widows, some with reused masonry. Interior:
straight-flight staircase from ground to first floors. First floor has stone
hooded fireplace with C14 half-quatrefoil jambs and C20 stone hood. C14 four-bay
crown-post roof. Wall connecting chapel and solar was end of C14 hall; it has
C15 window with probably C19 Perpendicular tracery. History: a prebend was
established c.l140, by the Bishop of Lincoln.
