Farmhouse. Early C18. Limestone rubble with brick dressings; plain-tile roof and
brick gable stacks. Central-stair plan with outshut and rear wing. 2 storeys
plus attics. Symmetrical 5-window front, with plinth, storey band and eaves
course in moulded brick, has central 6-panel door, with overlight, and 2-light
leaded casements. All openings have brick quoins and segmental arches. 2 gabled
roof dormers. Gable parapets have moulded brick copings. Similar full-height
rear wing to right. Rear outshut has 4-light leaded casement and roof dormer.
Interior: Dogleg stair with heavy turned balusters; large inglenook fireplace
with bread oven; butt-purl in roof; folding double-leaf door with original
ironmongery; contemporary fittings. Generally unaltered interior.
