Farmhouse, now house. Probably early/mid C17, extended C18/C19 and remodelled
early C20. Limestone rubble, partly squared and coursed; artificial stone-slate
roof with stone stacks. Probably 4-unit plan. 2 storeys. 4-window front has C20
stone-mullioned windows at ground floor, with a mullioned bay window to extreme
left, but retains 3 leaded 3-light oak casements at first floor with (probably
C20) gabled half-dormer above the bay, To right is an attached barn/outbuilding
now with an arched vehicular entrance with wrought-iron gates. Left gable wall
has bands of squared rubble and returns to later rear wing, Rear is largely a
C20 timber-framed extension. Interior; Chamfered and stopped beams and joists;
open fireplace with chamfered and stopped cambered bressumer; restored
Tudor-arched bedroom fireplaces butt-purlin roof with through tenons. Formerly
the home farm for the Manor House (q.v.).
