Farmhouse, now house and Post Office. Late C17. Limestone rubble with some brick
dressings; old plain-tile roof with brick stacks. 3-unit plan. 2 storeys.
3-window front with central door and C20 inserted bay to left under tiled
lean-to roof. Window to right probably former baffle entrance. Opening to
extreme right now shop entrance. 2-light casements to extreme left and at first
floor. Roof is half hipped to right with stacks to right of centre and to left
gable. Rear outshut probably later. Interior: 2 open fireplaces, both altered;
spine beam with moulded stops; stair beside central stack; timber-framed
partitions; clasped-purlin roof with straight windbraces. Formerly the Lewington
Arms public house.
