Early C19. An excellent Regency symmetrical facade with pronounced character.
Stucco with rusticated ground floor. Wide bracketed eaves and slate roof.
3 storeys, 3 windows. Central window a canted bay on ground floor with
balcony over, contemporary delicate iron balustrade. Central 1st floor
window, large with semi-circular head. Tympanum with fluted plaster decoration.
Sashes with glazing bars. Entrance at south side with fluted engaged
Tuscan columns and pediment above. Arched radial fanlight. North side
carriageway entrance with moulded architrave.
Nos 45, 45A, and 47 and Nos 53 to 81 (odd) form a group with Nos 44 to
52 (even) and Nos 60 to 64 (even) opposite and with No 2 New Street. BELL STREET
