Late C19. Red brick and stone banded wall, railed to gate approaches.
Small corner turret on watch tower at eastern end. 4 tall gate piers,
inner 2 surmounted by cast iron lamps. Vehicle and pedestrian iron gates.
The buildings of the Friar Park estate form a group. In adittion, the
lower lodge, entrance walls, gates and piers form a group with Ancastle
Cottage opposite.
