Public house and cottage now house. 2 builds. C17 and C18 main part. C17 with
later alterations. Regular coursed ironstone rubble. Steeply pitched thatched
roof. Brick end stacks on stone bases. 2-unit plan. Single storey plus attic.
3-window range. Entrance off-centre to left has plank door with glazed light.
Entrance is flanked by a C20 casement with a wood lintel and a 3-light metal
casement with wrought-iron casement fastener, hood mould and label stops. To
right a small stone framed window. Attic has three 3-light wood casement windows
with wood lintels. Single-storey thatched service extension to rear. Interior
has stop-chamfered beams, chamfered joists and fireplace with bressumer. Right
part. C18. Squared, coursed ironstone rubble. C20-tile roof. Brick ridge stack.
Blocked entrance on left has wood lintel. C19 and C20 windows. Carriage doors to
former coachhouse now garage.
