House. Late C17/early C18. Coursed squared ironstone. Steeply pitched wheat
straw roof. Brick ridge stacks. 3-unit plan. Single storey plus attic. 2-window
range. Elevation to Stratford Road has 2 small single-light windows on ground
floor and a one-light C18 metal casement and a 2-light C20 metal casement to
attic. Painted wood lintels. Gable on left has a 3-light C18 metal casement in
wood frame with a painted, chamfered wood lintel. Rear. Renewed plank door in
moulded wood frame. 2-, 3- and 4-light C20 casements with renewed wood lintels.
Interior said to have beams and inglenook fireplaces. Important corner site at
the juntion of Stratford Road and Church Street. Interior not inspected.
