House, C17, with extensive C18 and C19 alterations and additions. Coursed
blue lias rubble and brick with ashlar and stucco dressings. Dentillated
eaves, Welsh slate and pantile roofs, 2 gable stacks. 3 ranges around
central courtyard with single storey C19 addition on west of courtyard.
West front C19, 3 bays, 2 storeys, plus attics. Off-centre projecting bay with
modillioned open pediment, flanked by single C19 canted bay windows with
3 plain sashes and pitched slate roofs. Central moulded doorcase with
scrolled brackets to hood containing 6 panelled door with rectangular overlight.
Above, central round headed margin pane sash with stucco lintel and keystone,
flanked to north by 3 and to south by 2 plain sashes, with segmental heads.
Above, 2 gabled dormers each with 2 light Yorkshire sash. North
range, 2 storeys, 2 bays, has 2 C18 glazing bar sashes in segmental heads.
Conservatory, C19, single storey, 4 bays, brick with timber framework, canted
hipped south end; round headed lights with margin panes, decorative roof
finial. Boundary wall to High Street, C18 and C19, coursed blue lias
rubble and brick with terra-cotta coping; approx. 100M long, 12 courses ramped
to 25 courses at north end. Ornate double cast iron gates with square
cast iron piers with cushion capitals and pyramidal caps. To south, matching
iron wicket gate.
