Haughton Kennels Farm
II
Farmhouse. Early C19. Built for the Duke of Newcastle. Stucco.
Hipped slate roof with 2 stucco ridge stacks and sprocket eaves.
Set on a plinth. 2 storeys, 3 bays. The outer single bays
project. Central C20 lean-to with 3 large fixed lights,
decorative iron work and decorative felt roof. Either side, set
into recessed arched panels, are single segmental glazing bar
fixed lights with ashlar balustrade under. Extending over each
arch is a continuous hood mould. Above are 3 glazing bar
casements under segmental arches. To the right, set back, is a
C20 glass, stucco and felt porch. To the rear right are lower 2
storey wings.
