House, formerly school house. 1861. For W. J. Pickin. Buff and
red brick with C20 pantile roof. Rebated eaves, single gable
stack. 2 storeys, 2 bays. Square plan. Windows are C20
casements in four centred arched reveals, those to south
chamfered and larger. South front has to left, gabled brick
porch with wavy bargeboard and chamfered pointed doorway
containing studded door with Y tracery panels. East side has a
pointed window opening. To right, a casement and above, 2
similar casements. West gable has 2 storey pointed recess
containing a casement with Y tracery. Rear elevation has central
C20 door with rubbed brick head, flanked by single casements.
