Planned farmbuildings with mill, early C19. Rubble with tooled-and-margined
quoins and dressings, except for squared-stone road front of mill and brick
infill of single-storey range; slate roofs. Buildings around rectangular
yard open to east; adjacent stable block (q.v.) to rear of south range, at
higher level; mill projects to rear of west range.
South range 2 storeys, 6 bays; boarded doors with 7- or 14-pane overlights
and scattered fenestration, roof hipped to left. Single-storey extension to
far left is pent cartshed with cast iron columns; right part,infilled with
brick , has vertical-panelled door under Gothick fanlight and flanking 24-
pane casements, all under pointed arches. Double doors to right and left.
West range has doors with 12-pane Yorkshire sash between. North range
2 storeys, 7 bays; central stable door under 14-pamoverlight flanked by
arcades with timber lintels (left) or segmental arches (right); part-
slatted windows above. Roof hipped to right.
Rear elevation of west range, to road, shows projecting twin-gabled mill
with 2 doors and pitching doors over. Attached wall to right with gable coping,
ramped down and then ramped up to link with gate lodge (q.v.), door near
right end.
Most doors vertically-panelled.
