An L-shaped building with an C18 front to the street. 3 storeys, 3 windows.
Red brick. Stone string course above the ground floor. Cornice and parapet
above the 3rd floor. Glazing bars missing. Large flat hood supported
on brackets above the doorway. The L-shaped wing at the back, known as
"Taverners" is probably a Victorian addition.
La Rochelle, Chequer, Cannon House, The Vicarage & Nos 16 to 19 (consec) form
a group.
