Built as a view-point of the magnificent view to the south, but the trees round have now grown up. Designed by Sir Robert Smirke in the early C19 for John Fuller ("Mad Jack"). Semicircular alcove or recess built of red brick and grey headers with an open front to the south which forms a Gothic facade built of Coadeware stone. Tall four-centred archway flanked by pairs of slender engaged columns. Carved spandrels and crested parapet.
