Circa 1850-60 row of five attached houses now one building. Attributed to Decimus Burton. stuccoed, with slate hipped roofs and wide eaves. Two storeys and basement, the two centre blocks similar, five and six bays wide, all sashes some with glazing bars, moulded architraves, the ground floor windows have side lights and cornices on console brackets. Each with pilastered doorways. Off centre a porch with pilasters supporting entablature with balustrade and inset round arch, gabled dormers. The right and left hand blocks project, are taller and have bracketed eaves, quoins, tall ground floor windows with pediments on consoles and continuous cornice, all sashes without glazing bars, in moulded architraves, with continuous cills, three and four bays wide, the left hand block linked by two bay lower range. Basement area railings with spear-leads.
At far left-hand end (north east) set back on corner, is another almost detached block, first floor two-light round-headed windows with cornices on consoles, ground floor single-light windows with cornices on consoles, porch with square columns supporting entablature, projecting corner with its own hipped roof. Along Quarry Hill, eight bays, sashes in moulded architraves, pilastered with entablature and balustrade above.
