Circa 1830 by James Burton. Half of a pair adjoining Nos 5 and 6 and all that
remains of this terrace, the other half is No 3 with top storey missing and fenestration
altered. No 4 is stuccoed. Parapet and cornice, slate roof. 3 storeys and basement.
One plus one window, right-hand recessed (originally part of central recess).
Sashes without glazing bars, in moulded architraves, ground floor with cornice,
2nd floor without architrave but with wide cill band, iron balconette to ground
floor window, small windows on right of 1st floor with cornice on consoles. Ground
floor projecting pilastered doorway with entablature and cornice, approached by
steps. Part of James Burton's lay-out of St Leonards.
