Friends' Meeting House, dated 1760 on lintel. Squared stone with rusticated
quoins and dressings; stone flags to eaves, slates above. 1 storey, 4 bays.
Plinth. In 3rd bay 3 steps up to boarded door in rusticated surround; 12-pane
fixed windows in raised stone surrounds, those to left of door having fittings
for external shutters. Moulded kneelers to gables but no coping; stone end -
stack to right. Small lean-to earth closet to right with stone slate roof.
Right and left returns plain; rear elevation has a single 16-pane sash window in
moulded box.
Interior: stone-flagged floor, simple wooden benches and dais with boarded wall
behind. Flush-panelled partition,with central 4-panel door flanked by top-hinged
shutters,divides off bay to right of door; simple fireplace with chamfered
surround in room beyond.
