south-east of Mitford
Steads Farmhouse
GV II
Terrace of 3 cottages. Late C18, heightened mid C19. Rubble with cut quoins
and dressings, tooled-and-margined to C19 parts; pantile roof with one stack
rebuilt in white brick. 2 storeys, 6 bays, irregular. One pair of doorways
and one single, with tooled lintels. 4-pane sashes to ground floor and 4-pane
Yorkshire sashes above, most carpentry missing. Coped gables on deep footstones.
End stacks (left rebuilt on old base) and 1 ridge stack.

Empty and derelict at time of survey. Landscape value.

Brick outshut to west not of special interest.
