1828. High rusticated piers with urns on top with a Greek Key pattern on
their perimeter. 2 gates with spear-head railing (cast-iron) opening into
churchyard. On the upper crosspiece is cast the following: "Will" Armstrong.
Ralph Watson. In Parker. Thos Johnson. Churchwardens Hexham 1828,"
Archway to Cowgarth and the adjacent wall and St Andrew's Priory church form a group.
