Early C19 front to 2 C18 cottages. 2 storeys. 2 windows. Painted ashlar.
Glazing bar sash windows. 2 plate glass shop windows with central door to
left, and a similar shop front to right under joint fascia. Right hand door
has 6 flush panels. 3 pane rectangular lights above both doors.
Courtyard at rear has glazing bar sash windows in early C19 3 storey extension
to west. The front of this annexe to St Mary's Wynd has 3 storeys and 2 windows.
Brick with stone quoins, partly obscured with ivy. Large Venetian window on
1st floor to right with stone architraves and dressings. Roof hipped to right.
Nos 1 to 194(odd) together with Nos 2 to 8 (even) and Nos 16 to 20 (even) and No 4
real Market, form a group of which No 1 is of local interest.
