1831. Ashlar, hipped slate roof, 2 storeys with stone band at 1st floor
level. Centre door and plain fanlight, 2 windows on ground floor and 3
above, now boarded and unoccupied. Elaborate town arms over front door,
in painted relief, and dated with name of the mayor: unusual example of an
inn belonging to the town. Built on river bank, so that left hand return
side has a basement in the river bank, making 3 storeys.
