GV II
House, c.1840 built for Captain Clark, incorporating C18 fabric. Squared stone
with tooled and margined dressings; slate roof. South front 2 storeys, 3 bays,
symmetrical. Slightly raised quoins. Central renewed double doors with
overlight, 12-pane sash windows; all openings have slightly raised surrounds
with ears and feet; and projecting bracketed sills. Paired moulded brackets
to eaves. Hipped roof; 2 corniced ridge stacks, left has 4 conjoined shafts,
right has 2. To right, lower set-back kitchen wing is older house refronted
c.1840; 12-pane sash with 6-pane sash above; coped gable to right with C20 brick
stack. Altered farm buildings to right not of interest.
