3 boundary stones, probably C18. Sandstone. Segmental-topped rectangular
pillars 0.75 to 0.90 metre high, with incised Roman letters C (Cartington)
on east and R (Rothbury) on west. On former parish boundary. The southern
stone is not shown on the current 0.S. map. Another stone further south, at
NU 09340250, is shown by the O.S. but was not located.
