Stable range, c.1915. Snecked stone with some brick snecks, rock-faced
quoins, rock-faced-and-margined dressings; red clay tile roof with stone
flags to eaves.
South-east elevation: 2-storey centre and end pavilions each of 1 wide bay,
and 1-storey 2-bay linking sections. Taller central pavilion has Venetian
window on ground floor and oculus flanked by quatrefoils above; bracketed
eaves cornice and pyramidal roof with wrought-iron weathervane. End pavilions
have round-arched window on ground floor with 2 oculi above, flanking sundial
on south-west pavilion; and pyramidal roofs with wrought-iron finials. Glazing
altered on ground floor north-east pavilion. Linking sections each have
round-arched carriage entrance in outer bay, stable doors with radial
fanlights, and small round-arched fixed lights with fancy glazing. All doors
ledged and boarded with long hinges. 1-storey side wings with parapets stepped
down to end in ball finials.
Symmetrical.,rear elevation shows Venetian windows in outer pavilions, round-
headed windows in centre pavilion on ground floor; small upper windows
alternate with depressed curved crosses; square windows in links. On south-
west return vertical-panelled door under shell panel.
Small extensions beyond side wings are not of special interest.
