House. Mid-late C17, raised a storey and altered early C19. Coursed limestone
rubble, slate roof, brick end stacks. 2-unit central-staircase plan. 3-storey,
3-window range. Main front faces garden and has central 6-panel door with
overlight, panelled reveals, pilastered wood surround with pattern of diamonds
and circles and moulded cornice/hood C17 upright keyed oval niche of ironstone
to right of door. Large canted bay window to left of door, otherwise 16-pane
sash windows to ground and 1st floors and 12-pane sashes to attic floor, all
with rendered surrounds. Whole front formerly rendered. Ironstone quoins.
Single-storey extension to left. High stone-coped wall extends from right angle
along Church Street to enclose garden; coursed limestone and ironstone rubble.
Interior has dog leg staircase with panelled newel and twisted balusters to 1st
flight.
