Stables. 1747 (datestone) designed by William Smith of Warwick for Richard
Chauncey. Ironstone ashlar tiled roof; brick stacks. L-plan. 2 storeys and
attic. Pedimented left wing. 5 bays has central 2-light window with wood mullion
and transom and plain stone frame, flanked by doorways with moulded stone
frames, rectangular overlights and 6-panel doors 2-light windows in outer bays
with plain stone frames and wood mullions. All windows have leaded panes.
Central pediment on scroll brackets has round window and sundial below; between
them datestone 1747. Hipped roof with wooden clock turret with lead cupola and
weathervane. Right wing, similar materials, 5 bays, has arched carriage
entrances in 2 left bays with side lights and 4-panel doors. Doorway with plain
stone frame, rectangular overlight and 9-panel door in right bay. 2-light wood
casement windows first-floor. 5 hipped attic dormers.
