Farmhouse. C17 with later alterations. Coursed squared limestone, slate roof,
brick end stack. T-plan. 2 storeys and attic; 2-window range. Main front to yard
has C20 porch to right and 2-light casement windows throughout, except for
1-light window above porch, all with timber lintels. Wing to rear right.
2-storey, 2-window late C18 or early C19 extension to right, formerly housing
dairy etc., now part of general accommodation. Interior has old tile floors,
moulded spine beam, open fireplace with moulded cambered bressumer and bread
oven, one early C18 veined marble chimneypiece, old doors and fine open-well
staircase from ground floor to attic with turned balusters and ball finials to
newel posts. A fragment of fireback found during renovations has been dated
c.1640 (preserved in house).
