House, formerly inn. Early C18. Coursed squared ironstone, slate roof, brick end
stack to right on stone base. 2-unit through-passage plan originally. 2 storeys
and attic; 5-window range. Central blocked door replaced by reproduction 2-light
stone mullion windows flanked by 2-light moulded flat-faced stone mullion
windows, similar leaded windows to first floor, a C19 bay window to ground floor
left, a 3-light casement window to ground floor right with moulded stone jambs
and timber lintel. Limestone chamfered plinth, quoins and stone-coped gables
with kneelers. A blocked 2-light chamfered stone mullion cellar window to right
side elevation. Plank door to right replacing similar window sharing hood mould.
C20 casement to ground floor, a 3-light flat-faced stone mullion window to first
floor and similar 2-light window to attic. Another 3-light stone mullion window
to rear and C20 2-storey brick extension to rear left providing present access.
Interior has ogee stop-chamfered spine beams and large stone cellar.
