House, formerly 2 or 3 cottages. Late C17 with C18, C19 and C20 alterations.
Coursed squared ironstone, thatch and slate roofs, brick ridge and end stacks.
3-unit plan house to left of ridge stack, formerly right end stack, 2-unit
lobby-entry plan to right with 1-unit extension to far right with lower slate
roof. 2-storey, 8-window range. C20 door to left with wood lintel, old plank
door to right with chamfered Tudor-arched wood surround in 2-storey gabled porch
with stone piers supporting rendered first floor, and C20 door to far right with
wood lintel in C20 gabled porch. Irregular glazing of 2-, 3- and 4-light
casement windows, all with wood lintels, those to first floor and house to left
leaded, and small 2-light ovolo-moulded stone mullion windows to ground and
first floors either side of porch, that to ground floor right blocked.
Stone-coped gable to left with kneelers. Interior: four open fireplaces with
chamfered bressumers, one with ogee stops, another with ogee-stop-chamfered
stone jambs. Chamfered spine beams, one with wedge stops. Stone fireplace to
upstairs room with moulded jambs to lintel. Collar-truss roof.
