House, formerly farmhouse. Late C17-altered early C19, with C19 and C20
additions and alterations. Coursed squared ironstone thatch roof, brick end
stacks. 2-unit plan. 2 storeys and attic; 2-windnw range. 4-panel part-glazed
door to right of centre with wood lintel and C19 gabled wood porch. 24-pane sash
windows to ground and 1st floors with wood lintels, that to 1st floor left with
jambs of original stone mullion window. Blocked one-light windows to ground
floor left and far right with moulded stone surrounds. 2-light ovolo-moulded
stone mullion window to left gable with hood mould. Quoins and stone-coped
gables with kneelers. Late C18/early C19 granary or coach-house to right, now
part of living accommodation, with blocked segmental-arched openings to ground
floor, c20 single-storey extension to rear. Interior; aged-stop-chamfered spine
beams, open fireplace, corner fireplace in upstairs room with late C18 wood
fireplace surround and late C18/early C19 cast-iron grate.
