Public House, probably former farmhouse. Late C17, altered C19. Coursed squared
ironstone slate roofs, brick lateral and ridge stacks, the latter on stone
base. L-plan with lobby entry. 2 storeys and attic; 3-window range. 4-panel
part-glazed door to right of centre with wood lintel and straight hood on
brackets. 3-light casement windows to ground and 1st floor left of centre with
wood lintels. Projecting wing to right has similar window to ground floor gable
and, 3-light ovolo-moulded stone mullion window to 1st floor above, with hood
mould and 2-light ovolo-moulded stone mullion window to attic in gable. Quoins
and chamfered plinth. Large blocked window to 1st floor of left gable end with
long hood mould. Interior: stop-chamfered spine beams. Back-to-back open
fireplaces with cambered stop-chamfered bressumers. Old stuff partition.
Stone-flagged floors.
