House and attached barn. Mid C18 barn; house datestone 1854, for William
Mackworth-Dolben. House: squared coursed and barn regular coursed ironstone with
ashlar dressings and slate roof. House 2-unit plan, 2 storeys; 2-window range of
2- and 3-light stone-mullion windows; those at first floor have gabled half
dormers above. Central C19 ribbed door has moulded stone surround. Ashlar gable
parapets and ashlar stacks at end. Barn attached to left has 2 widely spaced
door openings with moulded stone surrounds and hayloft doors above with C19
arched heads and half dormers with gables. C19 gabled buttresses between doors.
Datestone on house between window range. Initials M and D above windows.
Limestone shield in right hand gable. Interior not inspected.
