House and cottage, now one dwelling. Early C18. Post office to left, coursed
limestone rubble banded with ironstone, thatch roof, brick and stone stacks. 2
storeys, 3 bays. Entrance to shop in second bay from left has half-glazed plank
door with wood lintel continued over 3-light casement window to left. Entrance
to dwelling in third bay from left has wood lintel, plank door and timber
lattice work porch with thatch roof. Two 3-light casement windows with wood
lintels to right. 3-light windows with wood lintels and old iron casements in
outer bays on first floor. Central window has 3-light wood casement and wood
lintel. Cottage to right, coursed and uncoursed ironstone rubble, thatch roof.
Brick and stone stack to left. One storey and attic, 5 bays. Entrance in second
bay from right has plank door and wood lintel continued over flanking windows,
2-light casement to left, and 4-pane one-light window to right. 3-light casement
window with wood lintel in second bay from left and small one-light window with
wood lintel in left bay. Two-light casement window with wood lintel in attic to
left. One-light 4-pane window with wood lintel to right. Extension to right,
under same roof probably former outbuilding now garage. Cl8. Similar materials.
Two old wood lintels of blocked openings remain above C20 plank sliding doors to
garage. Interior not inspected.
